WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) _ Banner Corp. (BANR) on Wednesday reported first-quarter earnings of $33.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Walla Walla, Washington-based company said it had net income of 95 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 99 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.04 per share.
The regional bank posted revenue of $148.1 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $134.2 million, also missing Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $139 million.
Banner shares have climbed roughly 4 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $55.40, a decrease of almost 5 percent in the last 12 months.
