BEACHWOOD, Ohio (AP) _ Omnova Solutions Inc. (OMN) on Wednesday reported a fiscal third-quarter loss of $1.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The Beachwood, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 4 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 18 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 22 cents per share.
The chemical maker posted revenue of $193.6 million in the period.
Omnova shares have increased 2.5 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 13 percent in the last 12 months.
